A few years ago I saw a fellow on a sold out night holding a sign at the TTC with the following wording:
Poor planing on my part.
Need one more ticket.
Will pay full price.
Not sure if it worked.

Hmm. Interesting concept you proposed. It's not like purchasing a paper ticket from Ticketmaster and scalping it. Most likely someone already purchased it online through MDE and it is linked through their account, even if they were mailed a plastic card. MDE does give you the ability to transfer the ticket to someone else. That part is done electronically. But you would have to arrange with the person "selling" the ticket on how you would exchange the money.
