Anyone rented from Budget?

I usually rent from Alamo but I found a fantastic deal from a special code I saw on Mousesavers, so I'm going with Budget. Here is what I read:

MouseSavers.com reader.... says subscribers to Spirit Airlines' "Top Picks" newsletter (it's free to sign up for the newsletter on spiritair.com) can get special rates at Budget with BCD# U109700. In addition, there are two printable coupons for subscribers:

So, I put that code online and got the deal. It doesn't say I'll need anything and I did suscribe to the newsletter. Should I be all set?

FWIW Budget and Avis have common corporate ownership. I've rented from budget in the past...they tend to have a larger fleet of 2 door vehicles over 4 doors.

Other than that they've been as ok as everyone else.

You should be all set. Keep that BCD number for future use. I have one I got from another poster here a couple of years ago [I think it's a Walmart code, I don't even remember] that I use any time I'm renting. It's already saved me hundreds. :D

Budget has never asked me to prove that I shop at Walmart... :lookaroun

Which is good, because I never have and never will.

you should be fine. I have used them in the past for personal travel because they were cheaper than others. I never had any issues with them. Did you look at signing up for Fast Break? their frequent rental program? Not sure if it is still free or not - it allows you to bypass the line and go right out to the car rental pick up, get in a car and drive away.

Fastbreak is still free, but you only really benefit the second time you rent. The first time you have to stop and sign some paperwork so they have your signature on file for your credit card.

It is worth getting though. It also speeds up the on-line rental process. You can put a lot into your profile so the blanks are already filled in...
