I live in PR. There is literally one camera repair shop on the island. Really, it's not so much a shop, as it is a guy who repairs cameras and his secretary.
As a result, it's a complete ripoff.
I have an older Kiron 28mm f2 that I adore. It's a sweet little lens, great optics, and it's made of aluminum... so it feels solid in my hands.
But the aperture is stuck completely open. Granted, I don't mind that much, since I tend to shoot wide open when I'm using a manual lens.
However, I decided I want to fix it before the year is over.
Any recommendations? KEH wants $90, but they only ship return UPS Ground which will nearly double that estimate in shipping costs.
