Anyone know the most economic Disney Resort that will fit 5 people in 1 room?

We are planning on going to Disney World during spring break in April. There will be 3 adults and 2 teenagers and we were hoping to all fit in one room. Our last trip was 2006 and we stayed at a value resort (only 4 of us went then) and we loved it. I would prefer to save money on the room and have that money to spend elsewhere. We were only in our rooms long enough to sleep and shower before and it's ridiculous to pay more when we won't even use the amenities at the resort. I would prefer not to have to pay for a suite but are there any other options? What is the most economic choice for 5 people?

Only deluxe resorts can comfortably sleep 5 adults (considering the teenagers as adult-sized). Two moderate resorts ~ Port Orleans Riverside and Caribbean Beach ~ have a pull down bed in addition to 2 queens, but the pull down is more suited for a child.

All Star Music and Art of Animation (both value resorts) have suites which would accommodate the 5 of you for less $$ than a deluxe resort, but the most economical option is to get 2 rooms at a value resort. Besides, five people sharing one bathroom at any resort level can be an inconvenience, especially when 2 are teens!

The moderates can work depending on the teenager. I did both POR and Caribbean in my late teens with 2 adults and 3 older children. I just slept on the floor the entire week. Looking back now, I can't even imagine how I did that, but at the time I had no issue. Teenagers are surprisingly flexible and resilient. So, if they are up for it, its worth a shot. If not, then your best bet is the suite or a deluxe room.

When I did the pricing for our upcoming April trip, it was cheaper to get 2 Little Mermaid rooms rather than a fam suite at AoA...only by a few dollars...but it was still cheaper...we decided agianst staying there because we thought at the time my 83 yr old gram was coming and the walking would have been too much for her...good luck!

5 adults will not fit in one of the tiny suites let alone a studio room. You should look at two separate rooms. There are offsite options that are cheaper than 1 value resort room.

Definitely offsite. You can get a 3 bedroom condo for much less money than the cost of having 5 people in one Disney resort room.
Also - remember that you're going to pay extra for having more than 2 adults in a room, and that teens 18 and over are considered adults.

Have you looked into DVC resale? You can sleep five people in a one or two bedroom and you don't have to worry about extra adult fees.

Other than that, I agree with what others have said about getting two rooms at a value as being most economical. You may want to consider DVC resale in the future though

Thank you so much for all of your replies! The third adult backed out of the trip because of work obligations so now we are 2 adults and 2 teens. We are aiming for Caribbean Beach resort as they have renovated their rooms and the beds are queen instead of double. I called customer service and the woman was so friendly and answered so many questions. Love those Disney workers!
