Anyone know a Disney cast member in IT dept?

If you go to their careers website...there are a TON of open IT jobs right now at Disney. What is the reason for this? Bringing back jobs the once outsourced? More projects to be done? Turnover? etc.?
If it's anything like the company I work for now... they outsouce as well and try to do more projects with less IT people, therefore it takes longer to do everything *sigh*

Hmmmm, good luck. I've been in IT since the 80's and have applied for many of the IT jobs that have been posted online. I have the experience and meet the requirements, including the desired qualifications, and have only had 2 responses, both of which said, "Thanks, but we've chosen someone else."
After speaking with several CMs at WDW, apparently Disney "prefers" people in their IT department with previous Disney experience. One CM told me to move to Orlando and get a job, any job, with Disney. After the experience, then I could move into the job I wanted. Can't afford that, since the intro jobs are way underpaid for my family.
If you get an IT job there, post back here so we'll know it's not all in vain!

All the It jobs that I saw were in disney companies in other states like ehre in Ny or a couple in ohio i think it was. i didnt see any for disney world.

there are a ton open right now in Florida... just go to their careers website and search for jobs in Florida

Thanks for posting this info! I am planning on moving down there in a few years and was worried about fidning a job, i didn't even consider disney! Anyone have anyidea of what they pay? I have about 5 of windows troubleshooting years under my belt some telephony. Altigen phone system is my new venture but i picked that up really easily.
