This thing is amazing. Im not a handheld gamer myself so this is my 1st one and I must say the PSP is much better than the DS.

Mine came with the FULL LENGTH of Spiderman 2 Movie.. only the 1st one million users get it..

i havent tried the games yet.. but I got one on order.. so you guys should check it out and the Graphics of the Spiderman2 Movie is stunning n amazing.. Crisp Clear.

Also there is some rumours floating around that theyre gonna add a "web browser" in the next updates.. where you can surf on the internet anywhere that is WI-FI Enabled.. now that would be sweet to surf on the internet anywhere..

I should have had mine by now, but there were a series of events that lead to a bit of a delay. I had ordered from BestBuy.com and gave my new address and everything, but for some reason it didn't update correctly when the order was processed so they shipped to my old address. I contacted UPS because they were the ones it was shipped through and the distribution center said they could contact the driver before it got delivered, but then neglected to do so and delivered the package to, not my old address, but a completely different address altogether. The way the shipping label printed confused the driver so he went to the wrong section of the city. So I have to wait until Monday for UPS to go back out and try to retrieve the package so they can redirect it to my new address and I can finally get my PSP!!! AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

I went out and bought the PSP on the release date and it kicks ______ :) . One problem that I did not like when I bought it was there was a black pixel in the screen. Even though it is not noticeable while playing Spiderman 2 or playing games its still a defect. And the other problem was that the screen will get very dirty from finger prints touching the screen. I have been playing Twisted Metal: Head On and it is pretty good even better online. This system will definitely give Nintendo a run for their money.

I said "The heck with it" and went over to my local Best Buy today and picked one up. If they ever find the package that was supposed to come here, it will go back to BestBuy.com. I did get a service agreement from them that indicates if there are any black pixels that occur, then I can have it replaced.

Yeah, $250 is a little too steep for a portable gaming device with low battery life.
I have been getting great battery life on mine! You can even change the battery so you can go out and buy an extra one!

I bought a PSP on Friday....

This thing is AMAZING. The graphics are incredible and the controls are easy to use. I bought NBA and Spider-Man 2 and both have amazing graphics. I also watched the Spider-Man 2 UMD and the picture was fantastic.

It's definitely worth the $250.

I must have been misinformed. I'm just gonna save my money for XBOX 2 that is supposedly coming out in the winter.

I bought one the day of release as well. I really like it. The battery life, while not as long as a cartridge based handheld, is not bad at all. I also received the SpiderMan 2 movie with mine, and I bought Wipeout Pure (GREAT futuristic racing game), Lumines (addictive puzzle game a little like tetris) and Untold Legends (Diablo style dungeon game).

I'm very happy with the system and the games. I traded in a couple of PS2 systems (one older style and one of the newer smaller style) along with some games at Gamestop and that was enough to pay for the PSP and most of a game.

It will be interesting to see what comes out in the future regarding web browsing, etc as well. People have already hacked it to enable web browsing right now (if you own Wipeout Pure, which has a web browser built in for downloadable updates).
