Anyone have info on StarTours, Epcot Parade, American Vybe, etc??

I have a few things that I have been wondering about. Some of them have been mentioned here a while ago but haven't been brought up in a while...

This is mostly for cast members on these boards or those of you who visit very often (Weekly) If you have real info that would help... rather replying with (for example) "Oh a New StarTours movie would be great... I think it should be about _____" etc. That is of course very interesting, but would open up a whole new set of subjects....

2) A Parade for Epcot??? Anyone heard anything recently???

3) How has the new pricing/admissions been going for Pleasure Island since they announced that they would be letting in the public with separate admission for the clubs. Is this a success? What have the crowds been like?

4)What's the latest (inside Disney) buzz on Mission Space...This would really not be one of those not to reply with "Oh I love that ride but one day..." Or other opinions...

I would just like to know if it is popular or not, wait times, etc.

5) Finally, I had heard that American Vybe (formerly in the Rotunda a the American Adventure building would be moved to somewhere in Future World. Have they moved? Do they sing similar tunes? Are they mic-ed? (I hope not!)

I'm still hearing 2007/2008 for an Epcot parade.....

American Vybe is now called "Epcot Vybe". They perform in the Showcase Plaza (where the Disney Characters on Holiday bus stops). They are miked. The good news is that they have a stage now and are in a prime location! The bad news....... they're outside........

Miked??!!! NOOoooo..... That makes me really sad. I'm glad that they have a more visible spot, but I don't have high hopes for them being plugged in.... their sounds was always so pure in the rotunda.... ahh well..

I have heard a lot from the forums here. I've heard everything from not until after Episode III to never and a new pod racing film. It all depends on who you ask.

It would seem stupid to change the film w/out chaning the simulation vehicles...

I hope that that is what is taking so long.

Those simulators were state of the art 20 years ago when they debuted at Disneyland, and even decently advanced when they landed in the Studios in '90. However, after riding them a few times last week I realized just how dated they are becoming. From the projection system to the ride vehicles, it's just feeling very "rough". The front rows are okay motion-wise (but the film is much less belivable), and the back-rows are more immersive and realistic but the motion is just very disjointed and jerky.

My wish is for a Star Wars dark-ride through the film locations, but I doubt that's in the cards (and would be hard to make very "thrilling" to anyone but hard-core SW fans). If/when they do upgrade the ride, I'm really hoping for at least new vehicle systems, but I think we will be lucky to get a new film/projection system. I'd love to see multiple films in the ride - but logistics-wise I don't know how practical that would be.

They should redo the Star Tours vehicles so they're a lot smoother. Also, they should redo the movie. Not change it, just make the graphics and stuff up to date.

They are miked, but they still sound incredible! I was very sad to see them leave the rotunda too, but they still sound as good as ever. It's nice, because they now walk to the location and you have the opportunity to tell them what a great job they did. Not too fond on the new name now...but the location for their performance is great!

Whoa......I saw the premiere of the new American Vybe set up over the summer, i fell in love with the group last year, bought their cd, loved the a cappella sound and then I even loved the sound they had w/the band, even though it was new, and didnt serve the point??!! it did before,

but now its CALLED EPCOT VYBE?????? WHAT THE HECK??, that makes it sound so much less cool when i am talking about it at home, it sounds like some cheap disney group that just revisits the popular disney songs, american vybe actually explains wat they are doing....boooo.....and i wanted to audition for that group when i was in college.....ugh

The band? All that I have seen them with is the bassist. Do they have a band now? or was that only for summer music or F&W-fest?
