Anyone have any guesses about special offers for October?

I'll be in WDW October 11-19......so, you WDW, any guesses on whether or not eir will be any special offers during that time? It would be AMAZING to get free dining or even a per engage off of our resort room.......I could CERTAINLY have fun with that refund!!!!!!!

It's kind of hard to detect sarcasm when the writer isn't too skilled. So,if sarcasm was your intended tone, you might want to either practice writing more or read more because you are NOT not very good at expressing what you intend in your writing. And if you aren't being sarcastic then off......I can ask whatEVER questions I want on whatEVER forum I want! I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAD HEARD ANY "rumors" regarding this topic.

ps......a discount is hardly a handout, you moron!

I have heard people say that if there IS going to be a discount for Fall, the announcement will be made in July. From what I hear those people are reliable, but I don't know them personally so take it with a grain of salt.

I think as history serves, i vaguely recall, fall discounts usually come in mid august

We received a pin offer for free dining for most nights of 8/25 -10/2 and 10/18-10/31. There were also some dates for November and December. Both our daughters work in the school system and fall break is the only time we can all go which falls in the black out dates of October. I assume Disney is expecting a heavy turnout of fall breakers for those dates to be blacked out of the free dining offer. We cannot arrive any earlier than the 5th so we will miss the free dining offer this year.:(

If it's any help here are last year's free meal plan extended fall dates. Sept. 30-Oct. 4, Oct. 19-Nov. 1, Nov. 9-15, Nov. 23-29, and Dec. 10-13.

This is GREAT news! Thank you for taking the time to respond. My ugly post was directed at some idiot who erased his 2 nasty posts to me about my question including calling me a freeloader and said that I was asking for "handouts"....sorry G00fyDad if you thought it was directed toward you.

I guess that the Monday of that week is a holiday (Columbus Day?) so I was concerned that there would NOT be any discounts. I am pretty excited now that I've gotten this insight! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!!!

As far as I know, the dates that have already been released do not include my October dates. However, I now have another question....I didn't realize that you have to be a Disney Visa card holder to qualify for the free dining (last year?). I have already paid cash for our package. So, if there is a discount offered in October and I don't have a Disney Visa, will I not qualify? I don't think that's right! Some people try to pay for everything in cash and not use credit. I guess we could get a Disney Visa, but it's not good for your credit rating to get new credit cards :-/ If you have already paid for you package in full, will they still give you the credit for the discount? It doesn't really sound like it :-/

No, you do not have to be a Disney Visa cardholder to get the free meal plan in October. I got it free last year and I paid cash b/c I refuse to go in debt for a vacation.
