Anyone have a Disney wedding?

Hello everyone.. me and my fiancee are planning to get married sometime in the near future. We would love to get married in Disney, but the costs seem to fluctuate greatly (as do most weddings taking place anywhere).

However, Disney has some basic guidelines. We would probably have about 30 people total, which would fall into the "custom wedding category". Does anyone have any experience in this for what they paid for the "typical" costs associated with a wedding this size. By typical I mean the standard fare - flowers, transportation, chapel, food/drink, photographer, accomodations. I know there is a $10k minimum for custom wedding, but how much over the $10k did any/all of you pay for a wedding roughly that size?

Many thanks in advance..

We did! I'd say with only 30 people, you could get away with $10,000 without too much trouble. We had 70 people and ours was about $16,000 for the ceremony, cocktail and reception, but we had a bunch of "extras" like Mickey & Minnie, Casino Tables at the Reception, a Separate Kids Party, Boats to transport guests from Epcot to the Boardwalk. It was by far, the best experience of my life!

Some prices I can remember:
* Flowers: about $2100 (3 bouqets, 4 wrist coursages, 9 boutenierres, flower girl basket of rose pedals, candle lighting arrangement, 3 topiary centerpieces for reception tables, floating flowers in little bowls centerpieces for cocktail hour and reception and Mickey ballon arch).
* Food: $62/person (buffet with prime rib and turkey, carved to order, gravy, veggies, salad bar, cooked to order pasta station, bread and rolls, butter.
* Cake: $9/person (included the cake as well as a "toppings bar" with raspberry sauce, fresh strawberries, chocolate sauce and fresh whipped cream)
* Mickey & Minnie at the reception: I'm pretty sure they were $650.
* Wedding Pavilion: If I remember correctly it was $1500 to use, but came with the organist. We decided to go with the Italy Pavilion and I think we just paid a site use fee of $250, plus $90 each for two guides because our guests had to be escorted. We also hired, through Disney, a guitar/flute duo, but I don't remember how much they cost.
* Town Car: I'm pretty sure these could be rented by the hour or for a one-way transport from one location to another. And I'm fairly certain it was $55 each one-way trip. You can also rent buses by the hour and boats as well, though I can't remember prices for these.
* Photos: We used Disney Photographic Services and I think our package was around $2300, which included an album for us and one complete set of proofs. We spent an additional $1000 on photos for our family, bridal party and ourselves after the wedding though.

I hope this helps! Happy Planning!

Well, because of having two large disbanded families I decided on disney. The ten grand floored me. We looked at DL where you can get hitched for five grand inside the park or $500 and up at the wedding pavillion. I had no help because I deviated from the families wishes but, who's wedding was it anyways! The wedding planner was no help and even sent a replacement planner for our wedding. Its tough being a guy and planning a wedding by yourself. So we were married in DL and honeymooned in WDW and...

<---LOOK. little souvenir!

Wow... $10,000 for only 30 people! I can organize your wedding for a lot less! hehehe :D
I am impressed with the prices of food and flowers that married@wdw just posted!
If you want to get married in a caribbean island by the sunset, I can recommend you with a great planner! (this was a serious plug) :D

In any case, a wedding at WDW will be beautiful! Hope you can make it! :) :)
