I have A LOT of gently used to NEW stuff that I want to get rid off. I have never used EBay but am thinking of giving it a try this upcoming spring. I am not really trying to make money (perse) but more or less, get rid of clutter. I have an addiction to HSN & QVC (if you get my drift).

Please tell me your thoughts on EBay. And if someone is an EBay expert, would they mind giving me suggestions on what to do. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

well, my mom made an account and half the time I have to help her figure things out on it!!! So I can consider myself an expert and give a few pointers!

Clothes are tricky on eBay

First off, some people seem to have an aversion to buing clothes (new or used) from another person, as opposed from a store.

Then there is the fact that they can't try them on on-line

And they only come in one size - the one you are selling

However, I can't hurt to try it on eBay. Just take some really good pictures of the clothes, that will help them sell.

You may get some returns if people find they dont fit. If you put a no returns policy up, you are gong to get less and lower bids.

If you are really just looking to get rid of clutter, and not make money, you could donate them to a local salvation army or thrift store, and then take the tax write off.

two words i am about to say from guessing:

bad experience?
:ROFLOL:

Evan just doesn't want other people bidding on the things he wants! His only bad experience is not having enough money to buy everything Disney that shows up on eBay!

Just know that the more pictures you have, the better. One single generic picture won't generate as much trust from the buyers, especially if you're new to selling with little to no feedback.

I sell/buy quite a few things on eBay and the only thing that annoys me is that eBay takes a % of what you make and then so does paypal.
