Anyone ever booked last minute & got a good deal....?

I've just heard about friends who booked a couple of years ago in January to travel in May & got the whole thing for £1k!! Can't believe it, have never heard of anything so cheap! It wasn't in a Disney hotel, but still!

Five months isn't a "last minute deal." It's pretty common to get last minute deals. At least not in the U.S. By the currency symbol you are using, I am assuming you are from Britain. I've gotten last minute deals for cruises and flights. Airlines, agents and such would rather discount them, then lose money and have the seats go empty. I've flown with 2 days notice from Miami to New York for like $150 and gone on a five night cruise for $200.

I already booked the same day a I was to arrive. I only live 3 hours away. Got whatever deal they were running at that time.
