My wife booked the 3 of us on a 7 night cruise, her parents were already signed up so she thought it would be nice to go with them. I've been on several cruises but I've never really seen anything on this Cruise line. I know its Italian owned and has a very European feel but that's about it.We are taking the Western Carribean trip on the Mediterania (86k gross weight) it visits BVI-Tortola,Nassau,and a couple other ports. Has anyone ever been on a Costa cruise? How does it compare to other lines? How's the ship and the food? thanks.

I went on a 7-day Baltic Sea cruise on the Costa Atlantica in July....I have been on most of the major cruise lines and I'd have to say it was the worst. The entertainment sucked, the service sucked, and the food was terrible.

HOWEVER, I was on a European cruise where only 200 or so of the passengers were from an English-speaking country, and a guy who worked on the ship told me the food, entertainment, etc. is much different when the ships are in the US to cater to the American travelers (although the year before this I went on a Mediterranean cruise on RCL and everything was fine) so everything could possibly be quite different here.
