It took me a moment, but then I was like, "Crap, that's Deana Troi." I think I like her better as Deana Troi...I recognized her voice first. Sorry, but that was a HORRIBLE Israeli accent.

And I really hope they are okay! I've been a Tiva fan for about five years now, and I've been spinning for them to get together, and then they finally do,

And then they throw a car accident in!

Now I'm just going to be spinning for a week! Especially since I'm home with only my brother and there's no one here to discuss it with!

She wasn't that good as Deanna Troi either. And man she's aged. ;)

Tiva? I think that's a DVR. You mean Ziva. :p

Ahhh, LOL!!! Kind of like the Shamy. :D

Jadzia, yeah, she's good. I liked Janeway. 7 of 9 wasn't too shabby either. ;)
You named my three favorites in one sentence. ;) I think the great thing about Seven is that she appeals to men because of her looks, but she also appeals to women because she's an interesting character and she's a strong woman. I like B'Elanna Torres too. Voyager is probably my favorite Star Trek Series, though I like TNG and that's the series I started out on. Deep Space Nine is my least favorite out of the 24th century series, even though Jadzia is my favorite Star Trek character ever.

Small world! I too like the fact that all of these female characters are strong women. Very much the ideals of the Star Trek world. Voyager was my favorite "new Trek" (anything other than TOS being "new"). Hated DS9. TNG was so... LOL. But watchable. Now, I liked Enterprise - but apparently nobody else did! I have to admit it took a while to warm up to Archer (Scott Bakula) but it worked. Killed before they found their groove.

Now the current (and prior) movie are in a whole new direction, and without a series. *sigh* The franchise is a MESS.

It's a small world after all...(that and normally you don't meet a trekkie who's also a Star Wars fan, except of course for Sheldon).

It's amazing how ahead of its time the Original Series was. With having men and women working side by side, and furthermore having an African American woman doing a job that required an education. I'm not quite through all of TOS; I'm about halfway through season 3. The thing I love about Star Trek is how it dives into some deeper topics and forces you to think. Actually, one of my college essays was about the moral values in Star Trek. It was a weird question; don't ask;)

I liked DS9; it just was my least favorite out of the 24th century ones. It got too political and preachy at times for my taste. That, and I hated how they killed off Jadzia!!! GRR! That still makes me mad. I liked Ezri, but she was no Jadzia. My 11-year-old brother likes that one best, go figure. But it does fill you in on some of what happened while Voyager was gone. I mean, it made a whole lot more sense when suddenly the Maquis (yes I looked up the spelling) were gone when I watched DS9 and figured out there was a war. That, and I finally figured out what the Defiant was in First Contact, as well as why Worf looked so depressed in Insurrection. I like TNG, but that's because I started out on that series at the ripe age of 7. I would come home and my mom would have it on, and I'd say, "This again?" and she said, "You should watch it." So I did. Although I found this guy rather scary!

I tried watching the first episode of Enterprise and just couldn't get into it. It's sitting in my Netflix Instant queue. Maybe this June when all of my friends are still in school and I'm bored I'll catch up.

Now I liked the new movie. You just have to forget that it's Star Trek. But I also saw the movie before I saw TOS. Netflix was slow about putting TOS on instant watch.
