Anyone else get giddy looking at FLE?

Just a quick thought for anyone has been to the parks recently... When I saw what was visible for FLE over the wall I was absolutely thrilled. It was mainly a very far off view of Beast's Castle and bunch of rock work but the space is really a ton bigger than I pictured from looking at the maps and I genuinely think it's going to be fantastic. Anyone else?

I think it's neat seeing this whole area being cleared out and rebuilt up and knowing years from now I will have been there before it, during and after. That's kinda cool.

Seeing it from my view on Dumbo this morning, I think its shaping up very nicely. I think the area will look fantastic, I have no doubt. Is this enough to make me giddy? No, not really. Now if the mine train and mermaid opened at the same time I would be more excited. The biggest part of the FLE opening that gets me excited is that it should pull guests and relieve some pressure in other places, hopefully.

I do! I can't wait for their to be something substantially new for me to discover and enjoy! I'll be there in January and can't wait to see everything that they've already done!

It it going to be great! from the pictures we have all seen it looks impressive..We're not going back until it's complete, and might be moving down to FL in a year when the daughter graduates and goes to school down there for pre-pharm.

It's going to be a wonderful expansion that was REALLY needed. The sceptics will see. So I guess my answer to your question it yes!!!!

The skeptics know what to expect actually. It's most likely going to be rather beautiful, but the NEW attractions so far seem to be scarce. The one new one is The Little Mermaid (which has received decent reviews from DCA, but fallen under some rather heavy criticism for feeling incomplete and with some poor design choices). The other "new" one is a replacement for Snow White (it's an addition, but we are losing a ride to get it with no other ride to replace the old version, just a princess meet n greet). We know little about it besides some basic concept art. It's likely to be a nice little coaster for the kids, though we'll see more about it in the future. I'm not going to expect any elaborately moving animated figures like Mermaid, according to Lee they seem to be mostly statue figures. The remaining new stuff is added capacity to Dumbo and a slight reskin of Barnstormer. The best i can say about that part is that the relocation will help bottleneck issues and that the area will look a lot prettier.

It's easy to see why some people would think it's a lukewarm addition. I am personally looking forward to seeing it, but i know mostly what to expect. It's a little barebones compared to what DCA has been getting lately. I'll wait to see it before making a final judgement. It'll at least be charming to walk around in. I doubt i'll even eat at the restaurant unless they have amazing food (i'm a Crystal Palace person if i'm feeling a step above Starlight Cafe that day lol).

I'm just as excited about Fantasyland becoming an actual themed land as I am about the two new attractions.

It's so ironic that not only do we have the worst Fantasyland among all MK parks, but it's hands down the worst themed area in the park (and close to the worst at Disney period). This is greatly, greatly needed - we just may end up with the most impressive Fantasyland of them all once all is said and done (as it should be, LOL).

Im totally excited about this! :sohappy:
I actually prefer the "kiddie" rides as Im not much of a thrill seeker, and the pics Ive seen so far are beautiful! It will be fun to explore the new areas and see all the little details disney does. I think this is a much better fit than Toontown. Im even looking forward to Storybook Circus! :ROFLOL:
I think its a good fit if you think about it. A Circus of the yester-years.
Again, just my opinion, but I like this kind of stuff.

I'm the same way! I'd rather spend my time in Fantasyland than riding the mountains any day. =)
