Anyone been to Tortola?

I am going on a non-Disney cruise at the end of April, and I will be sailing out of Tortola B.V.I. I was just wondering if any of you guys have been to Tortola and could recommend a good restaurant and hotel? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I've been to Tortola twice, but only as cruise port. So I've walked around Road Town, but never stayed overnight, or even eaten a meal there. Which town does your ship sail from?

I can't help at all with hotels, sorry. But there are several little "hole-in-the-wall" bar/restaurants along Waterfront Dr. One in particular looked kind of interesting with a lot of outdoor seating under trees. Also, Pusser's Road Town Pub has free Wi-fi, if that matters to you. It was the only free hotspot I found along Waterfront.

I'll also point out that Main Street runs pretty much parallel to Waterfront Dr, but is one block further from the water. I think there were also some restaurants on Main St. Just don't want you to stop your search along Waterfront.

That's not a ton of help, but it's all I got. Sorry.

Went on a day excursion with another cruise line, so I can't help you with hotels either. My daughter's enjoyed a zip line experience on the island. It doesn't look all that developed yet in comparison to other nearby islands.
