I'm just wondering if there really are plans to expand the monorail system to all the parks. I think it's a great idea, but I haven't seen any news really posted in months. Does anyone have any insite on this?

Thanks

Matt

Tyler, after reading the first 4 pages of that thread, i can clearly understand your fustration.

Its the logistics, and by god I understand that more and more each time i'm forced to ride the DC Metro. (Talk about a system that just doesnt work)

On a side note.... since i heard about GM and DuPont working together on fuel cell technology and possibly buses, i was wondering if there was any more talk about more "environmentaly friendly" buses comming anytime in my lifetime.

Of course there is!! You haven't heard??.... j/k :animwink:

Welcome to the boards!! Since you're new.. I'll explain the responses... there are a few discussions that have been discussed to death, therefore, you should search them if you want to read any past discussions... they include (and not exclusive to):
-Monorail Expansion
-20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Attraction
-Alien Encounter: Stitch!
-Spaceship Earth Rehab

Well, I really cant think of any others... Hope I helped :)

Gracias, jefe.....

Although i found out most of that stuff (non-monorail) during the past month when i was just "lurking." That photo thread on the other side drew me out.

As for those topics that have been threaded to death, well Disneys gonna do what Disneys gonna do, and not much we can do about it.

Hi Dave,

I think you misunderstood Tyler, His comment was about people asking the Monorail question, The last time I checked there were 17 threads on this one sibject, and one thread had close to 1000 posts, and not about why the expnsion will never happen

Oh, i think i understand him. Having to answer the same question 5 trillion times? Amazing. No worries.

And MicBat, i'm not too cure where you drew that one from, but... uh... I've only had one photo in "The Post" (darn AP still owes me money for that too).

And no, I meant this Photo thread here .... Definetly not the "Post Photos of yourself" thread.....

Fuel Cell technology is still in its infancy. Although it's making big strides, it's still incredibly expensive, not very reliable, and spends more time on the lift than on the road.

There are of course other options out there... CNG (Compressed Natural Gas)... it's definetly getting more reliable as it gets more mainstream. Then of course Diesel-Electric Hybrid buses are starting to show up as well, but of course, they too have thier infancy problems.

In my opinion, the best bet, currently, for environmentally friendly fuels.... Ultra Low Sulfer DIESEL. Otherwise known as Clean Diesel. Combined with a low emissions engine, it produces less harmful emissions that CNG. And best of all, it's rock solid reliable, maintenance costs are relatively cheap, and it gets 10x better gas mileage.

Yeah Tyler, dead on. When it comes to clean deisel engines...I dunno if anyone has heard of Detroit Deisel, but the technology page has them working on an ULE Engine, which I believe is what Tyler is talking about, but maybe its already on some platforms?
