Anybody ever stay at the Garden Cottages at Boardwalk?

I have not stayed in them, but I have toured them a few times during training. They are beautiful rooms with a nice 2 story set up and I would not hesitate to stay in one. Like Steve said, "worth it" is up to the user. I could not see paying the extra expense for one if all you are going to do is sleep and shower there while you hit the parks from open to close.

I would agree with that. If you are going to be hanging out at the resort a lot and really make use of the room it may well be worth it.

Friends of ours were upgraded to one of these last week due to problems they had with the Bands. They loved them and sent some beautiful pictures.

I was supposed to stay in a Garden Cottage during my December 2010 stay at the Boardwalk Inn. Now prior to that when I stayed the Boardwalk Inn during my August 2010 trip and was able to get a tour of a Garden Cottage. However once I looked inside it and etc I didn't like the set up, along with the fact about the long walk outside and inside to the Club Level lounge. So I switched that reservation to a Standard Club Level Room.

So worth it!!! See my posts on this thread from today...they were wondering if they should stay in those or at GF in a club room.. Hands down Garden Cottage Suites are better and the Inkeepers Club is better and also worth it. We did not spend much time at the resort but still did not regret paying to stay in them. :) Also you usually can use discounts available on them. We had. 35% discount on the room last year in December so that saved us a lot on the cottage. :)

Does anyone know how many people a Garden Cottage would sleep? Is it 2 or is it 4?
4 the sofa downstairs is a sleeper sofa but the people staying downstairs would have to go upstairs to take a bath or shower. There is a half bath only downstairs. :)

For 4 adults, it's a better option than trying to get connecting rooms, plus you get access to the lounge which can save you money on food.
Oh also if it's the set up with the private entrance the upstairs is like a loft so it's all open to the downstairs so if you are looking for everyone to have privacy it won't happen. Unless you get one of the cottages that don't have the private garden entrance those are set up different. It's not a loft area upstairs where the bed is. Just thought I would put that out there. We stayed just the 2 of us so we preferred the loft style with the cute private garden entrances. There is I believe 12 with the private entrance and 3 without with the different set up. They all are a little different though. :)
