Even though we just got back from Orlando a few months ago, I'm looking to celebrate my wife's b-day and our 23rd anniversary in Anaheim. We'd normally fly, but it seems, even with gas gong up, it'll still be cheaper to drive, especially with bag fees and the new $60 add-on. While I know the route, I'm trying to get a handle on whether, with 3 drivers, whether it's something that you can do in one day?

We're trying to work it around a MNSSHP day but they're much more limited than WDW, maing it tough, especially since everyone in the family has a job. So time constraints dictate no more than 1 day of travel each way so we can max park time.

I'd be curious if anyone has done this drive in <24 hours and how bad you felt on arrival.:animwink:

According to Google Maps the drive is around 17 hrs. nonstop, it's just a straight shot down the I-5 freeway. I'm sure its possible to do it with three drivers with three five hour shifts, etc and make it within a day.

I did his drive once with my wife. We left early and got there late that same evening. I drove about 14 hours straight and she did the rest. It wasn't bad at all, but we love road trips. You shouldn't have a problem with it if you don't mind being in the car for that long. And you'll be in the LA area late enough where you won't have to hit traffic at hour 16 in the ride.
Enjoy!
