Any Truth to this BoG ADR booking rumor?

I'm sorry if this has been posted already, but I didn't see anything unless it was tacked on to another thread...

There is a rumor hitting several other boards that an email went out to Reservations today telling them that BoG ADRs will open up for booking by phone mid day on Aug 20th. I've seen a few other posts where people were told this is strictly for Dec 6th and on. I've copied the most descriptive post I could find on the matter (again- I am not the source, just posting what I saw elsewhere).

Just read on Touring Plans WDW Chat, that you will be able to start making reservations for Be Our Guest by phone starting at noon Aug 20th and online reservations will be available Aug 22nd.

"Also this location will participate in the Tables in Wonderland program. It's one quick-service entitlement for lunch and one table-service for dinner.& credit card will be required for the hold when making resv."

"Guests will not be able to note a dining room preference at the resturant when making reservations, they can inquire at the podium when they check in. Lastly Lumiere will not be at the restaurant, he will instead be nearby assisting Belle with the telling of her story at Enchatned Tales with Belle."

"As for the rooms lunch will only be served in the The Castle Gallery. And dinner will be served in the mysterious West Wing and The Ballroom."

The person reporting is a Disney Dining Reservationist who just got the Advisory sent via email.

Has anyone heard anything? (sorry again if this was already posted) Prior to this, most of the other boards were buzzing about Aug 28th. I also saw a response on the Disney Parks Blog (from the post last week) that noted we should be hearing something "VERY SOON" on all of this, so the timing seems to mesh at least in my crazy mind. Just curious if anyone had any input, info or thoughts?

Okay, I would like some clarification if anyone can provide it.

Will all three rooms be open for dinner service?

The OP said that The Castle Gallery will be open for quick service lunch and that the West Wing and the Ballroom will be open for dinner. Does that mean that ONLY the Castle Gallery will be open at lunch time (with the other rooms closed off) and that at dinner just the West Wing and the Ballroom will be open...or will all three rooms be open for lunch and only two rooms will be open for dinner (with the Castle Gallery closed at dinner).

Seems strange to me to not have all three rooms open all the time.

Does anyone understand why TDO would do this?

Well, if this is the way it is going to work, looks like I will be gunning for ADRs with the rest. I was hoping to just do lunch and be able to see all the rooms, but I that is not the case, I guess dinner it is. If I can beat the crowd for ADRS.

Will all three rooms be open at dinner though? I am unclear on this.

It's nebulous enough that it could be that the "Castle Gallery" is only open in the day and then that closes and the other two rooms are open at night.

If that's true, then you'd have to eat both lunch and dinner there to see all three rooms.

The good thing about QS is that I can walk in, look around, and walk out without issue. They probably frown on it for dinner!

I will be very bummed if this is true. I was dying to see the Lumiere AA, but now that it's only in Enchanted Tales with Belle, I might have to pass. That attraction is only intended for the 12 and under crowd, correct? That basically means that a whole section of the BatB expansion is meant for families with young kids. And, of course, the only people allowed into the BOG restaurant are those with reservations...this doesn't leave much for older people who didn't manage to nab a reservation. I have my reservations (;)) about this land. :(

It would be really dumb to have a Be our Guest restaurant and not have Lumiere. I mean, he sings the freaking title of the restaurant. It's practically but because of him. Plus all the concept art has shown him on a cart.

Interesting!

Upside - I don't have to get up before to sun to be on the phone at 7 am :) Downside - instead of opening up reservations online, I'll be on hold for an hour :(

To be fair, Tales with Belle is actually going to be a lot better than we all thought. You will want to visit it when it opens. I have seen a video and it looks amazing. No need to fret.

Well, it sounds like I'm going to be trying for November 19th. I'm probably going to have to arrive early/stay late at work and play around w/my lunch hour to make time for this, but I'm going to be on my phone doing my best to get a dinner ADR. I guess at least my new boss is also loves WDW. :) Thanks for the confirm. everyone.

Can you tell us more?

I was under the impression it was just for little kids too. That's okay for my family because I go to the parks with my niece and nephew who are both under 12...but I am curious if adults or people without children can take part in the Belle experience too.

The video was removed, sadly. I can't really put into words what I saw. Basically you are in Belle's cottage and this mirror turns into this crazy portal that you step through to get to beasts castle right in front of your eyes. I have no clue how they did it. And I am not sure what room you are taken to, but it looked like the one Belle stayed in the film. There are AA's all around the room that the actor will interact with. It looked really neat. I was so impressed. It was something that I assumed I would skip but now i am most excited about it.

Do you think it's just for parents with under-12 children or can everyone enjoy this?

Clearly grown ups won't be participating in the acting out of stories but if it's a show of some sort I am wondering if grown ups can enjoy it too.

Was that an official Disney FB page or a fan page??? I've read December 6 not November 19... So who knows what to believe LOL...

Disdining.com reported about 8 hours ago or so that ADR's will begin to be accepted on 8/20 with dining on 11/16. I'm wondering if the 11/16 was a typo, and they meant 11/19 instead. Anyway, I'm hoping for 11/16 since we leave on the 19th!
