Any tote bag recommendations?

After reading so many entries that recommend carrying hard copies of the fastpass reservations in addition to keeping your phone handy for screen shots of the same, I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for the type of tote bag to carry. Of course, it would need to be big enough to store water and snacks and the like but I guess also waterproof in case a storm rolls in and for the wet rides. Do you have a brand name? Thanks All!

I'm wondering the same thing. When I went on my honeymoon I purchased a bag but it was annoying to take on the rides. This time I'll have a child with me but don't want to carry a bulky bag around. Maybe a cinch type backpack would work? It usually made of plastic so it'd be water proof. I'm definitely open to suggestions!

DW and I use a backpack. We found one that wasn't too big but had multiple compartments for stuff. It wasn't too bad to carry and we would switch carrying it. We carry water, snacks, ponchos, some papers and our camera. I don't remember the brand name but I'm sure there's plenty of different brand names/styles to choose from.

I am also a firm believer in having a hardcopy of our reservation information. One bad experience with "I'm sorry, our reservation system has been glitchy today and I can't seem to find you." was enough for me. To minimize the amount of stuff I have to carry around I print the reservation page from Disney, minimize it and put it on one small card, which I laminate. No need for multiple pages or to worry about them getting wet.

I use a Patagonia sling bag. Fits 3 ponchos, baby wipes, 3 smartphones, ipad mini, safe key, camera, water bottle, aspirin, and has a handy pocket on the shoulder strap for cards and ID. It's not waterproof, but when I throw the poncho on, it's covered anyway.

And it's only 6oz.

Patagonia mini mass bags also works great as does Vera Bradley's hipster bags. Last trip with our 2.5 year old she was still in diapers and I took both and they were gret to be hand free

I love my Vera Bradley hipster. I have to carry a diabetic test kit and it holds that and I can carry some small snacks (like some nuts or granola bars) and I can fit a bottle, sometimes two bottles of water in there. And I love that it is crossbody, so I am hands free.

I wear a medium-sized crossbody purse (one that has a full zipper across the top, so nothing falls out if I'm on the Rock 'n' Rollercoaster!), and it holds ID and credit cards, KTTW cards, camera, phone, first aid mini-kit with bandaids and Tylenol, sanitizing wipes for our hands at mealtime, sunglasses, and DH's inhaler. Crossbody bags are great because so long as you keep the load light, it's like clothing -- you just put it on and don't have to think about it all day. I leave it right on during attractions -- depending on the restraint system, I just adjust it toward the front so the purse hangs between my legs (ooh, so classy!) or tuck it next to me. I have a Very Bradley hipster, as well as an off-brand fabric crossbody bag I got at Target, and I use them interchangeably.

As for the waterproof factor, I keep a ziploc bag inside the purse for my camera and phone, in case of wet weather or wet rides. I'd rather carry a "breathable" fabric bag since it's going to be against my body all day, and as a result I find I don't get sweaty where the bag hits. My DH once made the mistake of carrying a waterproof backpack, which didn't "breathe," and he ended up with a bad case of "nasty, chafed sweaty backpack back" all day.

That being said, if all you need to carry are some note cards with your reservation numbers, phone, etc., forego a bag (and the time you'll spend in bag check before entering a park) altogether! Wear cargo shorts or capris, and put the sundries in your pockets.

I just go with the drawstring backpack every year. It's light and easy to carry on rides. I also bring along a ziploc in case it rains or we get wet.

I have used a purse-sized bag from Sherpani for years. It's big enough to hold two rolled-up ponchos and a bottle of water. There is also a front compartment with a built in wallet that is perfect for holding an id and a couple of credit cards. It's not exactly waterproof, though nothing I put in it has ever gotten wet (been through standard water rides and rain storms). I like the bag because it is big enough to hold what I need, but small enough that it fits easily on the rides.
