Hi All,

We are leaving for Disney in 3 weeks! WooHoo! I was just wondering if anyone had any tips or suggestions for taking a toddler. My daughter will be about 6 weeks shy of 3 years old. Is there anything you found that you wished you had taken or done or anything like that while you were at Disney?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!! Thank you!

be ready for her to be afraid of Mickey and the other characters.plan to see parks on her terms, very very slowly. what she wants to see may not be what you want to see. my grandsons would not go back to room to nap. fell asleep on bus and would not go back to sleep at room. they slept better in stroller as we toured. we ate at alot of buffets and family style meals, they could eat as much as they wanted without buying them a plate. we were on the dining plan.

My youngest was not quite 2 on her first trip and she loved it! She was not afraid of the characters (but her sister was at that age) and we had trouble getting her to slow down!

You really have to go by your own child's personality. You will have to slow down and be prepared to stop and look at all sorts of crazy things
Keep snacks handy because little ones don't understand the concept of waiting their turn. I would try the buffets because you can pick and choose the right things in the right amounts for them to eat (again that not having to wait is a good thing). Take plenty of photos and make extra copies that way grandma and grandpa (and just about anybody else who would care) would love a scrapbook for Christmas (or Hanukkah or whatever). Stay hydrated and cool, rest when needed and remember this is a vacation so slow down and enjoy it!
Don't forget a light jacket/sweater and sunscreen as well as a change of clothes for the park because things happen :lookaroun

ps if you scroll all the way down to the bottom of this page a listing of similar threads can be found.
