Any PSs require a deposit?

I know in general, priority seating is a completely free service, but we are wanting to book for Hoop-Dee-Do Review and I was thinking I read somewhere that the big ones like HDDR, The Spirit of Aloha, and Cinderella's Royal Table required a credit card deposit at booking. Does anyone know if I dreamt this up or if not, how much the deposit is? Perhaps party size is a factor?

Cinderella's Royal Table requires a deposit, but I'm not sure about the others.
I know that if you have a large group you need to pay upfront. We did the Hoop Dee Do with a party of 9 (4 adults & 5 kids) and it had to be paid in full (I think it was 30 days prior). We got a contract in the mail, sent the payment & then got our PS. Hope that helps. :wave:

We had a couple of PS at Cinderella's Royal Table and we did NOT have to put down a deposit. But of course this was 3 years ago. Hoop-Dee-Do and the Luau did require one. I think it charged the whole amount (for 3 of us) to my credit card and credited it back once we checked in. Just a word of advice, HDD is great!!! BUT, the luau was not good at all. We hated it. If you want a good Luau, go to Sea World. It is cheaper and much better.

Edit: Just found out: CRT only requires a deposit for the breakfast and it's only $10. If you get PS for dinner, there is no deposit required.

Hoop de Doo, Spirit of Aloha, Mickey's BAckyrd BBQ and the Princess storybook breakfast all require a credit card to hold the reservaiton. Cinderella's Royal Table actually charges your credit card $10 per adult and $5 per child when you book it. All of these priority seatings have a 48 hour cancellation policy.

During holidays such as Thansgiving, Xmas, etc. they will charge you $10 if you fail to show up or cancel your PS within the alloted time frame.

I think you also have to pre-pay if you're doing the Fantasmic Dinner package. Not something I would recommend though. I don't think the reserved seating area is all that great. We got better seats on our own the second time we saw it then we did when we did the dinner package.

Unless this has changed from last year, we did not have to pre-pay for our Fantasmic Dinner package last year, but if we cancelled within a specific time frame (I think it was 24 or 48 hours), they said we would be charged $10 a person cancellation fee.

Pretty sure Fantasmic is just the Cancellation policy. Holidays for almost every restaurant have the $10 cancellation policy within 48 hours.

I was told that for some of the harder to get PS (such as breakfast at Cinderella's with it's 90+ waiting list), they require the credit card deposit and that the credit card that was used for the deposit to be shown at the time of seating to prevent people from getting reservations and selling them on ebay! I kid you not, it was becoming a rampent problem and was keeping honest guests who really wanted to just have a meal from getting their reservations. Eep!

When I called and made my reservation for May for Cinderella's for dinner (I went for my birthday), we didn't need to pay a deposit. Character breakfasts though are harder to come by and a different story though.

Actually the person whose name is on the reservation must check in at the podium and show ID for Cinderella's Castle.
