Any news concerning Steve Job wanting Eisner's job yet?

I heard the news on Cnn the other day about Eisner retiring in '06... pretty much what I have been saying what would happen for months... I just hope he is not a lame-duck CEO for the next two years, earning profits for the company by selling off resources (Celebration, Disney Stores, Mighty Ducks, DVD sales of last year's hits, etc.) while the company produces no hit movies and ABC ratings continue to to be consistantly last.

Any way, I would like to see Steve Jobs become Eisner's successor. Look at the creativity he brought to Apple both in its start-up phase and now in its current years under Jobs again (with products such as the Imacs and Ipods and Itunes). Also, like at the creativity his Pixar company produces and the attention to details in Pixar's films. Jobs would certainly run Disney's theme parks, studios, software division, and television and cable networks the same way. But I'm not sure Jobs could manage such a large company as Disney, since Apple and Pixar are far smaller corporations in comparision! Also, what would Job's do with Apple and Pixar? Merge them with Disney? Merging Pixar makes sense, but a Disney-Apple merger does not make sense. He would have to resign as CEO of Apple.

I heard CNN mention that Jobs may be interested in the job and that Disney's Board may consider him. Has anyone heard anything in the media regarding this? And has anyone else seen the same report on CNN?
