Staying at Universal for the first time soon.. i've visited before but this will be first time staying on property (Cabana Bay) and i was curious if anyone has any tips for some small things not to miss.

I know about the rides etc.. but are there any small things like how disney has dole whips, mickey ice cream bars, electrical water pageant etc.. the little things that aren't exactly in your face but are cool to check out.

I like to bring a bunch of quarters for the water cannons at RipSaw Falls- you get to blast the riders right in the face just when they think it's almost over- GLORIOUS! (evil too:p)
Camp Jurassic is fun to walk around in even if you're not a kid.
We love to take a break in the Back Water Bar behind Confisco's- the bartenders are super nice :)
The Beedle the Bard show in DA is beautiful- HIGHLY recommend it!- I could spend ALL DAY just in DA- every detail is just perfect. There are several Easter Eggs paying homage to Jaws as well (ask a CM)
Most of my favs involve beers, so sorry if you're not much of a drinker.
Duff Beer Gardens is a nice resting spot as well- I prefer a Duff Dry-as I love me some stouts!
Cinematic spectacular is nice- worth staying for.
CW at night reminds me of a compressed PI- love it!
FYI- at CBBR you CAN take your drink with you in the lazy river ;)

Like @danpam1024 said, Camp Jurassic is not to be missed. Easily the best children's play/explore area ever built for a theme park.
You can see most of the best parts without having to do anything silly like climb up a net or go down a slide.

Go to the Gringott's Money Exchange (which is totally separate from the attraction and its queue) and loudly ask the goblin a question.

Thunder Falls Grill at Jurassic Park, on the right side overlooking the splash zone is a really nice place to cool off and enjoy the view, especially if you go in between a meal time to avoid the rushes.

Kebabs from Doc Sugrue's Desert Kebab House in The Lost Continent (sure beats a turkey leg for tasty walk around food).

Dole Whip with marshmallow sauce from the Menchies in CityWalk.
I LOVE Menchies!!! I go to the one in town when I'm missin Uni (at least once a week:oops:). And I keep the spoons :p. and @Disneyhead'71 - thanks for the Lard Lad Sundae pic- I just got done with an hour of anaerobic cardio drills, dripping sweat, and drinking a gnarly green smoothie :hilarious:
