Any more hidden treasures at WDW?

Not too long ago, there were several little "hidden treasures" at WDW - waking up Tinkerbell and finding paint brushes on Tom Sawyer island.

I'm having trouble thinking of the other ones now. Do you remember any more?

And, are there any hidden treasures today? Or are they all gone :(

Someone else may know of existing "treasures", but I heard on one of the Disney podcasts that they at least "temporarily" stopped putting out the paint brushes. Perhaps this is just a rumor though, so has anyone actually found a paintbrush in recent memory?

It would be nice if they still offered these treasures, but it wouldn't surprise me if cast members simply stopped doing it.

I know there were times of year where they didn’t do the paint brushes and there was a fairly long hiatus once word got out on a mass scale. Personally I’d never been over on the island early enough in the day to have ever seen one, but it was discontinued because people would keep the brushes instead of turning them in. (And in cases they would turn up on eBay for stupidly large amounts of money.)

As far as I know Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe still lets a kid decorate a tree for the day.

"Treasures" is such a broad word. IMO, I see "Treasures" as items or experiences I never knew existed or something new that I may have stumble upon.

On our last trip, we found ourselves with a down day and I decided to head over to the marina at the Contemporary really early to see if I could get on the JetSki tour. As I waited for them to open, I noticed the Contemp life guard crew doing their "Pool Opening Show" (not sure if that's what it's actually called). Basically they put on towel capes and hats and did a silly ceremony as each part of the pool features were turned on. For instance they "pulled" on an imaginary rope for the water to come down the slide, and knelt down low waving their hands, slowly standing as the water jets turned on.

It was so much fun to watch from afar.

Those are my types of "treasures"
