Any love for Old Town?

We used to love old town sinse our 1st visit in 1991. There used to be a great restaurant called Key Largo which served great Lobster and seafood. For Brits all the shops were quite a novelty and I loved the coke shop and still like its present incarnation! It used to be relatively quiet compared to the parks, however we find it can be really busy now - but we still visit and DH and DD's love to do the Sky coaster, get some Slushies and sit with Nachos and Hot Dogs. I love the puppet shop and hope it's still there for our next visit, hopefully August 2009!

We pop in to Old Town a couple of times a year, it can be a nice little evening if you pick the right night when the car shows are on, and you can stand there cringing as people slam down the Sly Coaster .

I love Old Town as well, I was there when it first opened, when my parents and I used to eat at Streets of London where you could eat on a double decker bus, or in a castle, or in a garden, all inside the restaurant.

There was (still is?) the paradise store where it's painted floor to ceiling to look like a tropical island, there used to be just the carousel at the end of the street before they started to add rides...It really has become a mini-amusement park when it used to be just shops.

I haven't been since 1989 when they had an elvis museum, the 5c coke shop, taffy shop that also made some very strong smelling cinnamon popcorn, a pan for gold attraction, the ferris wheel at the enterance and the merry go round and the end of the shops.
