Any Journey News? Rumored refurb date approaching

With the rumored renovation/restoration of Epcot's Journey into Imagination date approaching, has anyone heard any confirmations as to whether this is even happening? It's January 2, 2014

check out a couple of the other threads where discussion is ongoing, but spirit has stated it will probably not close as soon as Jan 2, but, when it closes it will be shuttered for good to save money with no redo.
