Hi,
I am a college student and I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on what kind of degree someone would need to have to be an Imagineer. I want to be the person either in charge of, or creating WDW shows like The Magic, The Memories and You. I am currently going into Design, but would that be enough?

Thanks for any thoughts!

Don't take my word for it but I think Imagineering has plenty of different parts to it. In my opinion Design would most likely at WDW be you desiging things for the show instead of creating it. I would think if you want to create something go into like event planning or engineering. Once again please don't take my word for this just my opinion. Good luck though! :)

Hey Austin,

I recently graduated with a B.S. in Operational Meteorology and am quickly learning just how important networking is on the job hunt. :brick:

Here are some options to aid in choosing your major:

1 - Consider the majors required to participate in the ImagiNations Design Competition. http://disneyimaginations.com/Guidelines.html

2 - Browse through the current Imagineer openings and the required majors for those positions via http://disneycareers.com/en/default/.

3 - Think about the Disney College Program. http://cp.disneycareers.com/en/default/

Imagineers come from a multitude of backgrounds with varying talents.

Good luck!
