Any good metro NY airfares for either mid winter break or spring break?

Wondering if anyone has gotten anything good. I keep looking and it seems there is nothing less than $300 and the non stops have terrible times. Any one have any good luck they can share? I don't want to waste a whole day on connections even if it is a cheaper flight.

if you can leave on a thursday and stay through saturday, Jetblue should be pretty good.. what dates are you looking at?

We aren't going to Orlando...we are flying into Tampa. We booked Continental from Newark...2 adults & 2 kids...$1,066. (that was the best we could do.)

We wanted to fly from our local airport (Stewart-SWF) on Southeast, but they were all sold out!.
We tried JetBlue, they fly from Kennedy, but they were sold out for our dates, too!

please tell me you're renting a car at least....

We are staying with my inlaws in Bradenton...my FIL will pick us up & let us use one of his cars while we are there...just a short hop to WDW!!

OK, this is just making me sick. Nothing out of the metro area for less than $300 at easter time. I think we might consider southwest. It has non stops and delta and american have connections for the same price that take us to like cleveland etc. I cant see wasting the day doing that. I guess they are charging what the market can bear. I have given up on mid winter break. There was nothing working for us.
