Any DVC Members ever use points in Chicago?

We're doing a weekend in Chicago this fall and had some DVC points left to use. The only hotel on the DVC list in Chicago is the Whitehall, but I've read some not-so-great stuff about that hotel online. Anyone had any experiences there? If it's bad, we'll forget about our points and book something better!

Personally I would book somewhere else. For the amount of points, I don't think it's worth it.It's not a bad hotel, but it is VERY old and some of the rooms could use some "modernizing".There are a lot of great hotels downtown that are under 200.00 per nite.Jmho

Good to know....thanks! We had a small amount of points left and thought we'd give it a shot, but I don't want to waste them on a sub-par hotel.
