Any Closures or Rehabs?

I'm going to Florida the 19th of this month !:sohappy: And I was wondering if there were any closures or rehabs going on that I should be pre-warned about. I don't want to get too excited about a ride and then realize that it's closed. Anything would be helpful. Thanks

I believe all attractions should be operating with the exception of Carousel of Progress & the Timekeeper at the Magic Kingdom. You can call 407 - WDWINFO for more information

Garden Grill no longer serves breakfast
Pizza Piazza - Counter Service - closed indefinitely

MAGIC KINGDOM

Donald's Boat at Mickey's Toontown Fair closed for refurbishment April 8, 2002. Reopening date is yet to be determined.
Mike Fink Keelboats, The Timekeeper, Carousel of Progress - Open seasonally during busy times
Tony's Town Square no longer serves breakfast, only lunch and dinner
Ursa's Major Minor Mart - Closed indefinitely as of September 10, 2001. Stroller and wheelchair replacement is now located in the Tomorrowland Arcade.

DISNEY-MGM STUDIOS

Backstage Pass Walking Tour - closed

Cirque du Soleil - No Shows May 28 - June 12

River Country will remain closed for 2002

RESORTS

Disney's Boardwalk Villas - Grand Villas are closed for renovations from 1/1/02 through 5/24/02. Extensive exterior renovations through 2002

Disney Institute - Resort rooms closed pending construction of new Disney Vacation Club buildings. Spa, golf course and fitness room remain open.

Shades of Green - Closed April 1, 2002 until September 2003 for major construction. Guests are being accomodated in the Contemporary.

Swan and Dolphin - Juan and Only's - Closed permanently as of September
24, 2001; Garden Grove is closed for lunch and Coral Cafe closed for dinner.

Yacht Club Galley is closed - possible reopening in mid June!

About the Boardwalk Villa's being renovated...I won't be affected in anyway by the renovations but hopefully the exterior won't be looking too bad during this renovation time...I'd like to see the Boardwalk Hotel in all it's glory when I go to WDW in Sept.!

well, no promises on that. when i stayed there in April 2001, they were doing some major exterior renovations on the other side of the resort (as in 'regular' rooms, not villas) they had a white wall around Spoodles, but a little walking area to the take-out window. also, there was quite a bit of scaffolding (sp?) and white sheets to cover up that eye-sore as best as they could. now, i'm not saying that's how it'll be when you go, but that's just how the renovation looked when i was there last year. but, to me, it didn't at all take away from the spendor that is the Boardwalk! it was still as beautiful as ever!

Anybody have more exact details or word on exactly on how the seasonality of CoP will work?
