is there any chance that the mummy will have soft openings during spring break? (the week before easter, apr. 3 - 10). i would think they would try to do this becuase this is the most crowded time of the year and would make people angry. I am going then and would love this to happen. I remember Twister had soft openings during spring break and i hope ROTM does the same.

Unfortuantely, I believe the answer is no. I'm truly sorry. Even though employee previews are being done, there is still some work that is needed, including the addition of the three animatronics for the ride. They are apparently not even on the site yet. This among other little bugs will probably keep the opening of Mummy to the public until at least late April, early May. Some are even insinuating that they may not even open it until they fix the lackluster ending....I have my doubts though. Universal Creative designed that ending and felt it was just perfect back before construction even began. I don't expect anything huge and amazing to be built and added in a month due to the reaction from some employees....but they could surprise us all.

I must offer an apology for incorrect info I gave above. It seems that despite what even the employees thought, Mummy has started to do random soft openings/technical rehearsals yesterday (March 29th) with "real" guests. This is despite the fact that it is still missing its three animatronics. How long they will continue to do this is unknown, as it is expected to go down to add those three animatronics as soon as they are available to be installed. Thus there is a VERY good chance that it will NOT be running on any given day in the near future. Since they are actually allowing paying guests to ride though, I imagine the ride is in its final form, with the exception of those animatronics, and I am not anticipating the addition of certain effects that have long been rumored/reported for the ride which aren't there yet....but then again, I never thought they would allow paying guests on it until it was 100% finished, so ANYTHING is possible.
