Another Muppets DVD question

i've been watching through the muppets seasons 1 to 3.
i've noticed in season 2 and 3, twice, there have been episodes which have been played more or less next to each other, with one sketch that has been exactly the same.
the one instance is season 2, where fozzie and rowlf are playing 'english country garden' on the piano... the exact same sketch features in 2 epsiodes (218 and again a few episodes later).
and in season 3, the same thing. fozzie and rowlf are performing a rendition of 'high diddly dee, an actors life for me'. we've only watched the first disc of season 3 and that sketch has appeared twice.
why is that? are there certain sketches that they aren' allowed to show, so have had to duplicate another sketch or is that how it originally was?

Thats the way they were -- it is impossible to create a full half-hour muppet variety show every week without lots of lead time -- there were frequent re-uses of taped segments from previous episodes that were shown again to pad out the full half hour.

Remember this was long long before YouTube and the like, so people didn't see these things over and over again...a few repeat sketches here and there were barely noticable....

fair enough. i was just wondering if there was any copywrite reason as to why they couldn't show certain sketches.
i'm not complaining. fozzie and rowlf are my favourite characters :)

thanks for clearing that up!
