Greetings all from the geek labs.
Sorry for the late update on the annual passholder preview of Mission:SPACE, but we have had some major technical issues this week. First network issues, and now an 80 gig hard drive with bascially every Disney photo I have ever taken has decided to go out on me. So currently we are working with some data recovery software, and recovering as much as we can.
Alas I did take in the AP preview this week of the newest G ticket at Epcot I went on Saturday, and thought things went quiet smoothly. For one there was barely any line, which of course was a bonus. I took in an additional 5 flights to Mars. Leaving me at the unlucky number 13.
As it was well reported there have been modifications to both the queue line, and pre-show video. I did notice the closed captioning on ALL right hand flat screens (I imagine this is the deciated side for the CC) and yes the graphics on the CC side have not been updated with the newer cool clean graphics of the ride in action. The training manuals, and such in the mission control area did not bother me in anyway I actually didnt even notice them until my last trip. which I was in a pod with only one other person. We both could have actually taken a pod to ourselves since there was no one in the other line.
As far as the crowd control went. I felt Disney handle it very well. They had one entrance in, and one exit out. They had people stationed everywhere so you really could not sneak in.
I did get my exclusive pin which is very nice, and is already attached to my lanyard. Which a little FYI to anyone who has the RED Mission:SPACE lanyard you should feel special. I found out through several CM friends at M:S that the for mentioned lanyard was not suppose to be on sale to the public until launch day August 15th. I picked mine up two weeks ago. In return the lanyard has been pulled froms sales until August 15th. I kept wondering why I was getting odd looks when people where walking by to look at the buttons.
I did run into a local wdwmagic celebrity. It appears ISTCrew20 is a celebrity at M:S ever since his head stuck incident. By the way ISTCrew20 if you didnt know this they have a picture of you in the break room at M:S showing you stuck. A CM friend told me
Thats the update for now folks sorry no pictures yet I will have them up sometime this week also with more Mickey Philharmagic shots.
