Annual Passholder Benefits

Are there any "special" annual passholder benefits that are not listed in the passholder booklet? I have heard that there are special viewing areas for parades and firework shows. Is this true? Also, can an annual passholder bring a non-annual passholder into an annual passholder lounge?

Hmmm, I'm sure you can't take a non-annual passholder into the lounge without you. It sucks, but it's really the only way.

As far as any special benefits that aren't mentioned, I would say there are none. Free parking, unlimited admission, food and merchandise discounts, passholder lounges, etc. etc. etc.........that's enough for me! Count me in!:)

I've heard both ways about taking a non-AP guest into the AP lounge, some things I've read say no, some things say like one non-AP guest per AP. As for any other unlisted benefits, make sure you have the new AP sleeve, they print new ones like once a year or so. The expiry date for the benefits listed in the sleeve can be found on page 1. As for things not listed, they send updated info on new benefits in the Monitor, and you could always call and ask. I do know that right now an unlisted benefit is priority seating for Shockwave is available for AP holders, you get the passes at the EC AP lounge. Other than that, I don't think there is anything else not in the sleeve at this time.

I'm certain that you probably could bring an non-AP guest into the lounge at AK, since they didn't even ask to see mine.

when we went to the lounge at the Land (epcot) I asked the cm and he said that each passholder could bring one non-passholder guest.

When we were at EPCOT a week ago they had a special Illuminations viewing area between Germany & Italy set up for passholders.

Availibility was limited though. The castmember I talked to said only 75 people were allowed although the spot clearly held many more. He had a list of names that were allowed into the area. To get your name on the list he said ask at guest relations.

Likewise, in AK there was a special viewing area for the afternoon parade but I don't have any details...probably works the same as in EPCOT.

One of the best 'unlisted' AP benefits is the preview night(s) for the Osborne Christmas Lights at MGM. For two nights, the area including the NY street and the lights themselves are only open to passholders before the official opening.
Passholders get free hot chocolate and hot cider, Christmas cookies, and, best of all, a free photo. Then there is the 'snow', which always seems to make it feel a little colder, even when it's not all that cold :)
The Mickey Monitor comes out 4 times a year with useful information.
The Disneyworld website also lists special offers, including the current 25% reduction on La Nouba tickets (until end of September).
Finally, there is now a passholder pin, t-shirt and cap at 'secret' locations.
I'm sure there are more 'unlisted' benefits, but they're all I can think of for now.

I really don't know about the AP benefits...the only time I had one I was too much a newbie to really check it out! Of course, I did get to visit WDW more than once that year, so that was a really great perk! :D

The Osborne preview is great, and make sure you are there right when they get ready to turn on the lights, it is unbelievable. I was able to take a non-passholder with me.

I also like the ride previews (except Primeval Whirl - what a disaster that was), but RnR was awesome, I rode it 6 times. The Millenium Village preview was cool too, we got cookies and collector pins.
