Hello, I was wondering if anyone can fill me in on the benefits of the Annual Pass. We are current Disney Club members, but from what I have started to read, the AP is very valuable.

We live in CT, but have family in FL so we visit a few times a year.

Besides the yearly admission, what kind of hotel discounts have you experienced?

Thanks! :animwink:

Thanks

Thanks for the link! Looks like it may be worth the investment!

Do you have a AP? If yes, were the resort discounts worthwhile?

Do we only need one?

I have also read that only one person in your party needs to be a AP holder to get the hotel discounts. Is that true?
But then only that one person would be able to get into the special AP events and lounges, right?:(

Maybe I will start by purchasing an AP for my hubby for his b-day and then we could buy mine when we go to WDW again. That way at least one would be paid for!

Thanks again!

you are right in only needing one for discounts.
at the ap lounges we only show my husbands and they never
ask for the others because AP holders may bring a guest in I
believe and they just assume the rest of the family has AP's

Nice to meet someone else from CT.

The annual passes are great. I used them this year to go to WDW twice the first time we stayed at the Grand Floridian for $180 a night and the second time we stayed at the caribean beach resort for $85 a night. You may need to call a few times to find the best rates but the savings are great. You can also check out mousesavers.com for annual passholder codes that can get you an even better rate. In my opinion they pay for themselves and give me the opportunity to stay at the deluxe resorts from time to time with out having to take out a loan

That's right! Keep checking for specials. Your persistence will pay off in the long run. I think sometimes there are also discounts for AP's in some restaurants and stores. Also maybe for Fantasia Golf, etc.

Good luck and have a great trip!

So good to hear!

So great to hear those savings at GF & CB. I wish I had thought of doing this sooner. We were at the Boardwalk Inn in May and paid $225 through the Disney Club, and it sounds like it may have been cheeper with the AP. :brick:

Yes - nice to meet someone from CT !

I wish I had done this investigating earlier. Oh well, perhaps this will allow us to return sooner. No current plans to go back anytime soon and I am so bummed about it.

Chin up, and I will keep searching out those deals!!
