Annual Pass Renewal and FP+ Reservations

Here is my current scenario: I am likely going to book a room only reservation using my pin code I received today. However, my annual pass has no expired and will likely renew a week or 2 after I have booked my room reservation. With a renewal and I able to start booking FP+ reservations or do I have to wait until the first day I use my AP to get into a park? Also, if I renew now does my 365 days start then or not until the first day I enter a park?

If you renew an AP, the new start date is the day the current pass expires ~ so if your current expiration date is 6/30/14 and you renew your AP, it will be valid until 6/30/15.

If you don't renew in person at Guest Relations, make sure you get mailed a voucher for your new AP. You will need the number on this voucher to book FP+ in advance. Otherwise, you will need to wait until you get the actual AP before making FP+.

WDW resort guests can book FP+ 60 days out from the start of their vacation.

So if I renew 30 days after it expires that does that mean I will not have a full 365 days? So if it expires 6/30/14 and I renew 7/30/14 means it expires 6/30/15 and not 7/30/15?

Renewing an AP at the cheaper renewal rate means that your expiration day stays the same as your expiring AP, it just moves up a year.
In order to get 365 days from your new date you'll have to buy a full-price AP. It's up to you whether the price or time is more important.
