Annual Pass Question

I have already asked CS this question, but I'm not entirely convinced that I was given a correct answer.

I have purchased a 5 day pass. If during my vacation I decide to upgrade to an annual pass, I know I can do that. But my question is what is the activation date- the first day I used the 5- day pass or the day I update to an annual pass?

Does anyone know the answer to this?

From my understanding...if you your your 5 day pass on June 1st and upgrade it to the annual pass on June 3rd, your annual pass will expire on June 1st the following year.

No, it won't. It will expire on the day that you actually updated it, so in the example above it would be June 3rd. The person who said the first day you use it will be the expiration date is also wrong. That only is the case if you buy a new annual pass, NOT if you are upgrading from an existing MYW ticket package while you are at the World.

I have upgrade a pass to an AP several times. The expiration date has always been the first day the pass has been used and not the day you do the upgrade. If it was the other way around you could add almost 2 weeks to any AP by buying a pass using it once and upgrading it at the 14 day cut off.
