Annual pass prices increase

Two price hikes this year for annual passes.

I beat the price hikes this year. I wonder what is driving this? I assume they are busier than ever post-pandemic. I've been there twice this year and may go later this month (Florida resident, 4 hours away). Is the price hike to reduce the number of passes sold (like Disney does), or just supply and demand?

We'd only been to USO a few days pre-pandemic. But WDW is so busy right now that I don't have a real desire to return right now. We've been annual passholders for Disney prior to the pandemic, but it seems like a poor return for the cost right now. We will certainly go back in the future, just not sure when.

Demand is high for Universal now. Hotels are reaching disney level prices too
Have faith the big crash is under way.

The well heeled will back at the Portofino paying $220 a night for a standard with Express passes.

At the moment I'm busy heading out of the country for a while before things get shut down again. Hopefully not but "Monkey Pox" is on the loose now? Is this some sort of game playing out for some strange international plan to keep everyone close to home?
