Annual Pass + multiple resort stay = more FP+?

So, this summer will be our first FP+ experience. We are already APs, so we have gotten our AP Magic Bands in the mail and can make FP+ for 30 days out online as of now. We have two resorts booked for this summer - 2 nights in GF and 4 nights in OKW. We have selected Magic Bands for each of those trips and supposedly our FP+ window will open for the first of those trips this week.

So, the question is - we'll book our 3 FP+ per day for the GF visit when we can this week. Will we then also be able to get 3 FP+ for our AP bands in another 30 days? AND, on the overlap day (check out of GF and check into OKW) will we be able to book 3 FP+ for each of those stays (thus, possibly 9 FP+ on that overlap day between two stays and the AP)?

We aren't really planning to get more than 3 FP+ per day, but are curious about how that will work out and if there is the potential to get some more (basically 3 FP+ per $1000 we are spending ;))...

You will get multiple sets of MagicBands, but as @cw1982 mentioned, the FP+ are tied to your MDE account. If you look at the "Bands and Cards" section of your MDE account, you should see the multiple bands. So the only way to get multiple sets of FP+ reservations would be to have multiple MDE accounts, with a different admission ticket tied to each account that you use to leave and re-enter the park for each account. Not really worth it. You can use the bands interchangeably to match your mood or clothes, but thats about all the multiple bands will be good for.

Thanks - that covers our other question (I think) in regards to the bands being interchangeable. Didn't know if the first stay bands would stop working when we changed resorts or if the second resort ones would not work until we got there. So, they all will work the whole time since they are all linked to our account?

Correct. They all stay active until you deactivate them. And even then, they can't be transferred to anyone else, so there's really no point in deactivating them.

The only minor thing might be an issue with your room charging on the day you switch resorts. The time between you checking out of the first resort and checking into the second resort is kind of a gray area. I *think* your first room charge account should still be active until you check into your second, but you might want to just be prepared for the slight chance that you'll lose room charging during that crossover time.

Room charging from the first reservation should remain active until midnight of that checkout day as it always does.

All advise here is accurate -- just remember, your wristband doesn't actually have ANYTHING loaded into it except an identification number -- no matter how many bands you get, that number stays exactly the same since it is tied to you, and your My Disney Experience account. All of your wristbands have the exact same number programmed into them -- but that is ALL that is in them - one multiple digit identification number. Everything else is done using software, associating your room number to the id number, your fastpasses to the ID number, and everything else you do with that ID number.

Essentially yes, but if you want to get super-technical, each Band has its own serial number (which the alpha-numeric number on the back is either all or part of). That's how an individual Band can be deactivated.

Each Band's serial number then points to your profile, which stays the same.
