Annual Pass ID question

Hi!
Those of you who have gotten APs before: What ID do I need to show to get mine activated? We have the vouchers and will be trading them in for the real thing and I wanted to know what I need to show. Is a driver's license enough? And what about the kids ones? Do they need their birth certificates or something? Do you need to get a picture on it or a signature? How long does the process take?

You'll probably be asked to show a drivers license and your kids are probably fine with no ID at all as long as they're with you. Your AP will not have your picture on it. It uses a biometric ID. Your index and middle fingers will be scanned and that scan will be attached to your name in the computer. When you enter the park, you put your pass in the turnstile, put your fingers in the reader (wiggle them a little if it doesn't work) and bingo, you're in the park. You may be asked for ID if your pass won't work in a turnstile.
As for the length of the process, it really depends on when and where you activate your passes. We did it about 6:00 PM at Epcot and the process was less than 15 minutes.

All that is needed is a photo ID for each adult...not child....DO NOT try to activate the card at MK guest relations....It is MUCH too crowded....The best and fastest place is EPCOT (front entrance only0...or Studios...Be sure to use your AP for the special AP ONLY lounge in the Land....It is located to the left of Garden Grill...when we were there last Wednesday....Pluto and Farmer Mickey made there way up from the grill to greet the people and take pictures.....also free coke, coffee, and cocoa.

I'm not sure where you will be staying, but if you stay at one of the EPCOT resorts (Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach, Swan or Dolphin), you can activate them at the international gate which is just a short walk. I have done this before and it is never crowded.

I know you will have a great time!!
