Just wondering if anyone has done this or if there's any reason for it? Are there any AP benefits that cast members don't already get? I'll be a salaried CM, so I'll have the silver pass, but I know it has some limitations, blackout dates, etc. Wondering if an AP would be worth it.

There are no blackout dates for using your ID to get into the parks, just for using your maingate to get guests in.
Why buy an AP when you already have one? You can use your ID to get into the parks any day of the year. It is your maingate that may have block out days and that is used for guests. If it is absolutely necessary to go to the parks on one of the black out dates, just buy a day pass. Any other multiple day passes would have to be used by the same person.
Perfect, I didn't know that. The trick is that I'm getting married (which I mentioned in a few other threads) so I'm not going to be wanting to go alone.

You have a discount on it, but it'll be worth it to get the AP.
The main gate may be blacked out for your spouse to get in, so it might be worth it.
I'm not 100% on this though.

You may want to look into getting her an annual pass then. There's a Florida resident discount which is probably better than your CM discount.

To be honest, the black out dates on your maingate are during such crowded times of the year that you probably wouldn't even want to utilize it anyway so take that into consideration.
