Annual Pass Discount On Two Rooms?

If I book two rooms for a trip and an Annual Pass discount becomes available, will I be eligible for a discount on both rooms? Or, does Disney require that a different passholder is needed in order to get the discount on the second room?

I'm pretty sure that an AP can book up to 3 rooms on a pass holder discount with just a single AP. I'm POSITIVE they can do two...but I think it is up to three... All three rooms would need to be in your name, though, I think, if you wanted to change them to an AP discount later if it is available...

I think that it is up to three rooms for the AP rate. But I could be wrong. It could be only one room.

It is definitely up to three rooms on one AP. We've never had a problem because when we need two rooms we've always had two AP-holders anyway, but I asked a CM at Central Reservations, and she said a single AP is good for up to three rooms. And they don't have to be all under one reservation number. I believe they just have to be concurrent and at the same resort. (We only needed a second room for 7 out of 8 nights, so we had one reservation for 8 nights, and the other for 7 nights)
What they probably WOULD balk at would be if you had one reservation at Riverside, and another at the All-Stars for the same dates...

Let me assist on your question...

Annual Passholders can book up to 3 rooms (on 3 separate reservations) and use the discount offer as long as:

  • The Passholder books all reservations.
  • The reservations are at the same Disney resort with the same or overlapping dates.
  • The Passholder is the first scheduled to arrival if dates are not identical.
  • The Passholder must be present when the other Guests check-in to validate the discount offer.
  • Each room reservation must be booked separately and must contain the names and addresses of the all the Guests staying in each room.

A guest cannot book 2 separate reservations in the SAME name and/or address as one person cannot physically be in two rooms at once. Doing so can cause both reservations to auto-cancel by the system.

To book a reservation for another Guest (and use your AP discount offer) you must have the full legal name of all guest staying in the room, designate an adult in the room as the lead guest, and provide the full address and phone number of that lead guest. The passholder’s name will not be listed as a passenger on the reservation but will be listed as a contact, allowing both the Passholder or the Adult Guests in the room to modify or cancel the reservation if needed. All confirmations and travel documents for each reservation will be sent to the each reservation's lead guest. The Passholder can request a duplicate confirmation be sent to them, but this request must be made each time confirmations are generated.

The reservation agent will book each room reservation separately and then link the reservations together. This way the resort will know to place the rooms as close together as possible and all room charges and accounts will remain separate. If you would like connecting rooms (or any other request,) be sure to ask at the time of booking.

Remember, the number of discount rooms in any marketing offer is limited. Passholder's can book up to 3 rooms based on availablity of the discounted rooms for the requested travel dates.

Thanks, JP. One follow-up question so I can keep it in the back of my mind for future reference:
On the reservations that *aren't* directly in the AP-holder's name though they're listed as a contact, can the AP holder check in the other rooms? Or does the "lead" person for that reservation have to be present?
