According to another Web Site, News from the Annual meeting directly affecting WDW stays:
1. DVC members will get free internet access when staying on points in DVC rooms starting in 2008. Pretty cool to know it is there, even though I have never used it personally. Brother in Law did last time, but we don't think they charged us for it then either.
2. Members will now be able to purchase MYW tickets through Member Services. (No discounts included for MYW tickets though.) I like this for two reasons. First, perhaps it will facilitate easily having room keys and admission on the same card. Secondly, at least now the sales systems/logistics will be in place, should they ever decide to offer discounts in the future. Although, I just can't imagine the business reasons for selling discounted MYW tickets to us.

I'm loving that we'll get free internet access. Must be because not many people use it at $10/day. ;)

Also mentioned at the Annual Meeting (which we missed while we were down there) is that Member Services will be open 9-5:30 M-Sat, and Sunday hours will be added sometime in 2008.

I really didnt understand why Disney wanted to charge standard hotel internet access rate (9.95 is standard rate at chains like Hilton, Marriot, etc.). Most people on vacation dont have to have access to the internet. I dont see it as a big profit area for Disney. They should just raise room rates two dollars a night and call it even...

Completely agreed, the current prices are way to high and I would not consider paying anywhere near that, not when I know there are many internet Cafe's closely located off site that offer internet connections for a much more competitive rate.
