Annual Florida Resident Platinum Plus Pass Confusion

Hi. I am going to try to condense what I have to say so every will hopefully understand and can help me with my confusion. In 2016, me and my family had Platinum Plus Passes--in 2017 2 of the 3 of us renewed our passes. I was paying for me and my son. I thought we were down grading to Gold Pass. So I renewed online and went to the park in March of 2017 to pick up. I linked my son to my account on My Disney Experience. Upon talking to the guy at the window, there was some confusion. I just wanted to go play with Mickey Mouse so I wasnt really paying attention. So I get my tickets and the guy tells me to call the next day to speak with a higher up. I didnt care, I was off to play in a huge play house. Look out Mickey, here I come. By the way, this place never gets old to me.

Now here is where it gets confusing. We played all year (2017) and are ready to renew. I noticed on my disney experience that I have a Platinum Plus Pass certificate and it dont expire till 2030. Its been there for some time--since I first got tickets--and NO I never called them like the guy told me. I just knew that I had a pass to play all year. Remember, I had a platinum plus the first year I got tickets--2016. So throughout the year, I keep seeing this certificate listed on my account as well as Gold. I also see a Gold Pass listed for me and a Gold Pass listed for my son. This brings me to today. I call them to inquire about this Platinum Plus Certificate and its expiration. I also tell them about the Gold Pass. I ask her if I have a Platinum Plus pass expiring in 2030 and she says YES. I ask her if I have to renew, she says no. Now, my son, remember I told you supposivly we had Gold Passes. I mentioned this to the lady and she tells me that the Gold pass for my son was linked to me---she did not know how he got in the park all year. WHAT???? She kept asking me if he had really got in the park, I told her I have to reason to lie. He has a pass because they gave him a pass (card) with his name on it. He also have arm bands. We have definitely been playing with Mickey the last year. We were just there 2 weeks ago. So, she puts me on hold and gets a manager. Apparently they went into my account and deleted the Gold passes---the two that was apparently linked to me according to the lady. On My disney experience under tickets it says I have a Platinum Plus Certificate. Remember, earlier today it stated I had a Gold pass. I received email stating I needed to renew. But, when I go to get fast passes for me for next week, it now allows me to do it. If I try to add my son, it says that he cant. Our Gold passes (?) were to expire today so there should be no way to do fast passes. If my son goes onto his account with my disney, it will let him get fast passes for tonight but no further. If I click on the email that was sent to me, it sends me to a page where it has me listed as a Gold pass member but also has the Platinum Plus. ARE YOU CONFUSED YET? I am!!! I was told to go to the park and sort it out because we use the Fla Resident monthly payment plan and well, because they are probably confused too. Has this happened to anyone before. Again, the gold pass I thought I had was to expire tonight---but they deleted it and now have me with a Plat Plus ticket. Now, I can make fast passes for next week which should not be possible unless I truly have a platinum plus pass--- my son cant do it on his app---only fast passes for tonight.

Sorry for the confusion, I just would like to know if anyone has had this happen? It really dont matter because I will get the passes anyway, but like I said, on my account it is showing that I have the Platinum pass. She even went as far to tell me that my arm bands were linked to it. We are headed to the park tomorrow to try to sort this out. Do you think maybe the platinum plus cert automatically renews each year?

I've had experiences with my Universal and Sea World annual passes automatically renewing, but one month I noticed that Disney had not taken their monthly cost from my bank account on the date they usually do. So I went and renewed my pass online (it's not the platinum plus pass. I think it's the gold). The only hassle I had was that they didn't send me a new card. I didn't pay any attention to this until I went to Disney Springs and showed a cashier my pass for the discount, and she said it had expired. So I went to the Guest Services at Disney Springs and they gave me a new card with no problem. I'm just glad that cashier caught the problem instead of the parking booth attendants at any of the parks.
