Long-time watcher, first-time poster. I love getting to see everyone's love of Disneyland and their knowledge. So I hope you can help me.

We just found out that we are pregnant with baby #2! woot woot! It also so happens that we will be at Disneyland the second week of November for a family trip with my wife's family. We will be 10 weeks along at that point and will feel safe making an announcement, plus how fun is it to be with family at the happiest place on earth. We are trying to figure out how to let the family know. We looked into having a cake brought to the table at dinner, but the cost was $45 for a celebration cake and couldn't be customised. We need suggestions! This won't be a gender reveal, just letting them know more grandkids to spoil.

Thank you for any help!

Tell them as you go down the final drop of Splash Mountain as it symbolizes the birth canal when the baby is born

Not very ceremonious, but when your party gets to a roller coaster or other ride with a pregnancy warning you can mention something about it being your last ride for a while or something of that nature. I imagine your family will either guess quickly or start asking questions and then you all could celebrate with a nice dinner. Cheers to you and the newest member of your family!

I like the idea of an on-ride photo, but I don't see how that will work. The problem is that your picture will be up on the display temporarily, which may ruin the moment if you don't want them to see it like that. Perhaps you can purposefully delay your exit from the ride for a few minutes and tell your family to wait while you and your wife buy the on-ride photo with the announcement? But even then, I don't know how you could make it relevant and haul a sign with you without your in-laws noticing (nor do I think that's exactly smart because if your sign flies away it may cause a ride shut-down maybe).

I think you should do it over dinner in the parks and perhaps have your wife's favorite mascot make a surprise entrance and hold up a sign to tell your in-laws? It's cuter that way.

Should we ever have another, we’ve thought about making a shirt for our first and second that say “Big Brother” and “Big Sister” and having the kids wear a sweater over. Then taking a picture together and saying “oh, actually let’s take off those sweatshirts” and letting family read the shirts. Might give the photographer a heads up.
