Anniversary

What is a good place in World Showcase or Magic Kingdom (other than cindy's Royal Table) to enjoy a nice (not too expensive) dinner with my wife for our 1 year anniversary. We're picky eaters so we want more of the "normal" foods, steak or something you know. Something most Americans would consider very good but "norm" food. Im guessing Canada's Le Cellier would be one.

Heading for the great escape.
The whole evening was very nice. The sushi was very good, as was the sea bass. There was no fireworks at the MK that evening, however as we were on the other side of the dining room we could see parts of what looked like Fantasmic and Reflections. Our server made the whole thing very special taking time to explain dishes etc. I would make a PS a little later as when we first went in there was still some dinners in vests and flip flops. Hairy armpits dont make for a romantic meal.

The pizzas looked nice, and those nasty people will try to tempt you with some delicious deserts.

I know you don't like "adventurous food," but may I suggest just trying to expand your taste palette?

A lot of people don't like things even though they've never tried them.:)

For a nice romantic place in Epcot or around Epcot I would suggest Marrakesh (probably too "exotic" for you) and Flying Fish.

P.S. If you really want to go all out, spring for Victoria and Alberts:D

Well man, I would expand my taste buds but unfortunately my young wife at only age 26 has Crohn's disease which is an intestinal disease, can't experiment too much with food out of the normal american diet because it can make her very ill. We can eat mostly anything but have to make sure we know what we're eating to how it will affect her.........................however, even if she didnt have the problem, she'd not try anything new. Women! as my dad used to say....................."Can't live with them, can't live without them".

I'm sure the both of you know her trigger foods...that being said I would avoid Marrakesh. While the food is not very spicy it does have spices that may cause her problems. I have IBS, while not as severe as Crohn's it still causes me problems, especially when travelling.
A nice place would be the Concourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary. We never miss it.

Here is a link to WDW menus maybe you can find something that catches your eye.

Sorry...I wasn't unware of your wife's needs. Please don't take anything I said as offensive!:)

If you like good ol' American food....here are my suggestions:

Flying Fish, Yachtsman Steak House, and Artist Point...

Enjoy!
