The last few times I have visited Hollywood Studios I would spend hours in the animation courtyard taking the 30 minute drawing class with my Fiance. As has been for a few months it has been taken away for Star Wars. Does anyone else miss this or is it going to open anywhere else???

I loved it because I'm a HUGE fan of animation and a comic book collector who CAN'T DRAW. So I always loved going in there and seeing how bad I could make my picture in spite of the fact that I was being guided by a pro. LOL! Actually I still have a sketch from an artist there named Brian Fitchner. I'm a die hard Scrooge McDuck fan and I asked a CM once if they had anyone that ever done any Scrooge stuff and they told me about him and set up a private meeting with him and he drew me a special Scrooge sketch right on the spot. We talked about how we both thought Don Rosa was a great artist but not a very nice guy at all. I still have that sketch hanging on my wall by a lot of other Scrooge art and one sketch even from Rosa himself.

I miss it. The drawing class was one of the highlights for me at DHS. I've never had any artistic talent, but I liked how they would show you how to use simple lines and circles to create a fun Disney character. (I was always proud of my "masterpiece" at the end of class! ;) )

Ah I didn't even think about the fact that Launch Bay took away the drawing class :( . This was one of my favorite lesser known things to do at WDW. It was a nice, quiet, relaxing, and rewarding break from the crowds. I hope they find somewhere else to bring it back.

My one and I only visit to this attraction resulted in hand drawn Stitches for me and my family. Was bummed when we missed it last time in HS due to time constraints. Thought it was an unheralded jewel of an attraction and was excited to visit it again in the future. Sad it is gone.

I greatly miss this. I use to go every trip to see if my drawing skills had improved. No matter what my drawing looked like, I always tried to have the character I drew, sign it and was such a unique souvenir. That was one of the few reasons I went to that building. I wish they could have moved that attraction to somewhere else in the park. :(
