Walt Disney was, for the most part, a story teller, not a story creator.
The majority of films produced during his time were not original stories, they were versions of stories that previously existed, some of the stories went way, way back.
Even in the last 15 years, the films that were created that are considered "classics" were based on old stories.
Now, that most of the classic old tales have been used (are their any left that could be turned into a film), WDFA is having to use a lot of original work.....this is something that has proven not to be a strength of the company.
Yes, other studios, like Pixar, have been very good at creating original work, but then again, Pixar really has not made any films based on non-original work.....potentially there is something to be said their.
I guess my question is this.....are their any classic stories that could still be turned into a movie, since this has been the strength of Disney's animation history?
