From back when I was a cast member almost 2 decades ago, I remember there were animal tracks in the pavement heading towards Africa from Asia. There were 2 sets of tracks, an impala and leopard and if you followed the tracks you could see that the leopard was tracking the impala and eventually caught it and dragged it into the nearby woods. If you looked up, you could see the dead impala stashed in the branches of the tree.
I would always point it to friends and family visiting me because it impressed me at how much detail Imagineering put into a detail that most people never even noticed unless it was pointed out.
On my last trip in September I couldn't find the tracks nor the impala in the tree. Does anyone know if this was removed? I know in 18 years walkways have been expanded, Harambe has expanded, and the addition of the smoking area went in.
